Basic Website Migration is for one straightforward existing website of no more than six published pages. We confirm eligibility and the exact scope before accepting the work.
Supported databases
Supported website databases are moved as part of the accepted migration scope.

Basic pre-migration checks confirm whether the website and chosen hosting package are suitable.
Migration and testing
We move the agreed scope and carry out appropriate pre-live and post-migration checks.

Basic service limits: One existing site, one domain and no more than six published content pages; blogs or other larger content collections are assessed separately. Static sites must be standard HTML and CSS, without scripts, PHP, databases, working forms or other server-side processing. A standard WordPress site may use the PHP required by WordPress core, its theme and compatible plugins; custom PHP changes, plugin repairs and new development are not included. We check compatibility, access and size before accepting a fixed-price migration.
Hosting and other costs: The Basic price includes the first 12 months of either Starter Web Hosting or WP Starter, as appropriate; hosting renews separately at the then-current price. A different or larger package costs extra and must be agreed before work starts. The £199 Extended service does not include hosting unless your written agreement says otherwise. Domain registration or transfer, mailbox or historic email migration, licences, redesign, content editing, malware removal and repair of existing faults are not included in either fixed price.
Assessment and changeover: Ecommerce, membership sites, WordPress Multisite, bespoke applications, multiple sites, significant compatibility work and unusually large or complex databases require a separate quotation. If a site does not qualify for the selected service, we will explain the alternative and obtain approval of any extra cost before proceeding. DNS changes can cause temporary disruption, so keep your old hosting active until the move is checked and complete. Send an enquiry for an assessment; no migration work begins until the scope and price have been agreed.

A website may be transferable but still depend on resources or features that are not available on the selected package. We check suitability before approving the migration.

Email and domains
Your website, email and domain do not have to move together
We identify the existing email route and DNS records before changeover. This helps protect email continuity while the website moves.
Email is assessed separately
If email is already provided through Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or another service, it can normally remain there while we preserve the relevant DNS records. Mailbox or historic email migration is not included in Basic or Extended Website Migration and is assessed and priced separately.

We confirm access, backups, timing, the test method and the practical details needed for a controlled changeover.
5 We move and test
We transfer the agreed website scope, carry out appropriate checks and help complete the DNS and HTTPS changeover.

You review the agreed pages and functions and report any migration-related exception before the case is closed.
Scope boundaries
What requires separate agreement
The confirmed migration covers only the website items recorded in the assessment. Existing faults and unrelated improvements are not silently included.
Covered when accepted
- The files, supported databases and configuration identified in the agreed scope.
- Appropriate destination, DNS, HTTPS and post-migration checks.
- Migration-related exceptions arising from the agreed work.
- Customer review of agreed business-specific functions.
Assessed or quoted separately
- Email transfer or mailbox rebuilding.
- Website redesign, content editing or new development.
- Software upgrades, malware removal or repair of pre-existing faults.
- Third-party licences and changes to external systems.
Before cancelling your old hosting: keep it active until the migration is complete, the website has been checked and Tervani has confirmed that the changeover is complete. This is especially important when the old provider also hosts your email.

No. Website migration is a separately priced service. A qualifying £99 Basic Migration includes the first 12 months of Starter Web Hosting or WP Starter hosting, depending on the site. Hosting renews separately after that term.
One straightforward existing static HTML or standard WordPress website, on one domain, with no more than six published content pages. Static sites must not need scripts, PHP, a database or working forms. Standard WordPress PHP is permitted, but custom development or repairs are not. We confirm eligibility after assessment.
No. The £199 Extended Migration covers only the agreed migration work. Suitable hosting is charged separately unless we agree otherwise in writing before work begins.
We plan and test the changeover to minimise disruption, but DNS changes and third-party systems can take time to update. The expected approach and any known constraints are confirmed during assessment.
No. The domain can remain registered with its current provider while its DNS points to Tervani hosting. A domain transfer is a separate choice.
No. We identify and protect existing email arrangements during the website changeover, but mailbox, message and email-platform migration is assessed and priced separately.
Only after the migrated website has been checked and Tervani has confirmed that the migration case and changeover are complete.
